2010 – Day 3 – Broken Hill to Copley

It was a relaxed start to the day at our campsite in Broken Hill – i think everyone managed to sleep quite well after the festivities yesterday. Our resident dress up queens have suprised us again with a fabulous Grease themed outfits. The pink ladies. After driving a few hours to Peterborough we’ve stopped off at the Junction Hotel for a ‘feed’. We’re a little concerned that we may have a shitbox casualty as a couple... Read More

2010 – Day 2 – Nyngan to Broken Hill via Silverton

Wow what a day, after a shaky start from the frivolities of last night we set off on the Barrier Highway to Broken Hill. We had a beautifully hot and sunny day with a lot of open road and large trucks. 2010 – We’ve arrived safe and sound in Nyngan

We’ve arrived. I’m sitting here at the Nyngan RSL beer in hand surrounded by pirates, sailors and perverts so i’ve just been told by the captain at my shoulder. 2010 – 162km to go until Nyngan

We’ve been on the road for the last 8.5 hours now and i think everyone’s tongue  is hanging out for a beer. Alex from the Car Rollers seems to be on a mission to hit as many of our shitboxes as possible (5 so far). Shitty Shitty Bang Bang are staying awake by listening to the latest Michael Cricheton novel and Morph Mobile are singing to each other, not sure Claire is happy about that one i think she just wants to take a little nap. We’ve... Read More

2010 – Day 1 – the big send off.

Thank you to everyone that came to see us off. And thank you to those teams that dressed up for the occasion there were certainly a few special photo ops. Black leather and full body suit anyone?  After months of preparation, fundraising and silly antics we are finally on the road. We’re about 2.5 hours out of Sydney on our way to Bathhurst for lunch and a quick lap. One of our shitboxes has had a little bit of trouble on the large hill climb... Read More
