Fundraising

All teams need to raise a minimum of $4,000 to participate in the rally, so if there’s two of you only $2,000 each. So get onto friends, work colleagues, family and start thinking of some ideas to boost your fundraising. Cancer council have a helpful booket of fundraising tips that you can download here.

Donations are gathered through a Shitbox Rally page within Everyday Hero. Everyday Hero support fundraisers and charities alike by offering a platform to facilitate donations and team building. When you are signed up to Shitbox Rally we will ask you to register your team on the Everyday Hero website and from there you can start fundraising.

A message from Cancer Council NSW CEO Andrew Penman

“Whenever a loved one develops cancer we are all confronted with hosts of questions.  The search for answers to these questions is one of the great scientific and humane challenges of the century.

At Cancer Council NSW we believe that everyone has a role to play in defeating cancer and over the last two years teams in the Sh*tbox Rally have risen to that challenge.  Driving against the odds over vast distance and challenging terrain, they have shown what teamwork, courage and enterprise can achieve, raising over $800,000 to date for cancer research, prevention and support.  We like to think that it is the same spirit that will prevail on the day that cancer is beaten.

In the Sh*tbox Rally you will have the experience of a lifetime, and one that will live for a lifetime.  You will also have the satisfaction of knowing that your efforts have brought us a step closer to major discoveries and made the life of those with cancer just a bit easier. The organisers have achieved a  event with few rivals and one that ticks many boxes for people who want to live with vigour and purpose.”
